What are the Common Applications of Vibrating Screen?

Vibrating screen is the important equipment needed by many industrial departments such as mine, ore beneficiation, coal dressing, building materials, thermal power plant and chemistry. The performance of vibrating screen will directly influence the production capacity and technical and economical index of these industrial departments, for this reason, our country pays a great attention to the production and research and production of sieve shaker machine.

That loose materials go through the screen hole and become two or more granularity levels is called screening. In ore beneficiation plant, coal dressing plants or other industrial departments, the ore screening equipment generally has the following applications:

1. Pre-screen and examination screen

That screening the qualified products whose granularity conforms to the requirement before crushing is called pre-screening, and that screening the big-sized materials and returning them to the crusher equipment to be crushed again after crushing is called examination screening. Pre-screening and examination screening are generally called as accessory screening.

2. Preparatory screen

That screen to make preparation for the follow-up separation procedure is called preparatory screening. For example, before the gravity separation and magnetic separation in the ore beneficiation plant, the ores are generally needed to be screened to the required granularity and then be separated.

3. Independent screen

That the materials are screened and then become final products is called independent screening. For example, the rich iron ores whose grade meets the requirement are screened to different grain particles and then separately sent to smelting plant, sintering plant and pelletizing plant.

4. Dehydration, desliming and medium drainage

That screen and remove the argillaceous and moist materials containing in the materials is called desliming screen or dehydration screen. In the gravity media separation, screening out the media for recycling is called medium drainage screen.

Other than the above-mentioned common functions and applications, vibrating screen also has some special functions. For example, when the useful components containing in the minerals has outstanding distribution difference in different particle sizes, screening method can be used to separate the particles containing rich useful components from the rest particles, and the former will become coarse concentrate, and the latter will be abandoned as tailing or sent for separation, this screening is called selective screening or screening separation.
